SEGA Launches Yakuza Series Game Streamer Support Project
SEGA has officially named the participants for the first phase of its game streamer support initiative, dedicated to promoting the Yakuza series through gameplay videos. The company has also opened applications for the second phase starting today, February 20, 2026, which will run until March 8, 2026.
As part of the Yakuza series’ 20th-anniversary special projects, the initiative aims to encourage game streamers to elevate the Yakuza brand through their content. Those who participate and meet certain criteria will have the chance to earn a spot in the upcoming titles developed by Ryu ga Gotoku Studio.
First Phase Winners Announced
After a rigorous selection process, four game streamers were chosen to join the first phase of the project:

The Project Goals
The goal of the Yakuza Game Streamer Support Project is to provide a platform for content creators who will share the excitement and unique experiences of Yakuza through their channels. Participants must not only post videos but also fulfill a set of challenges to advance in ranks labeled Bronze, Silver, and Gold based on the quality and engagement of their content.
Achieving the top rank, Gold, allows participants the privilege of appearing in future Ryu ga Gotoku Studio titles. They will not be able to choose the specific role or type of appearance but will be credited in the game's end credits, offering a significant incentive for aspiring streamers.
How to Participate
To be eligible to apply, streamers need to have over 5,000 subscribers and must post at least two related videos during the application period. Alternatively, they can also achieve specific view count metrics on their Yakuza content.

Joining this initiative as special ambassadors are renowned streamers kson and ドグマ風見. Both have expressed their dedication to further promoting the Yakuza brand, sharing their excitement through this unique opportunity.
