Jon Stewart Announced as Host for National First Responders Day

The First Responders Children's Foundation (FRCF), a nationwide nonprofit organization committed to supporting the families of first responders, has appointed Jon Stewart, the well-known late-night talk show host and activist, as the host and master of ceremonies for the fifth annual National First Responders Day ceremony. This event, presented by SERVPRO, will take place in the heart of Times Square on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

This annual event pays tribute to the valiant efforts of firefighting, emergency medical services, law enforcement, and volunteer first responders. A new addition to this year's event includes recognition for those who fought against the devastating wildfires in the Los Angeles area.

• - Cameron Price, Police Officer, Lee's Summit Police Department, MO: During an ongoing assault, Officer Price acted quickly to save a victim from harm.
• - Jason Franks, Group Supervisor, Drug Enforcement Administration, New York Division: His leadership in coordinating large-scale drug seizures has been pivotal to community safety.
• - Dusty Block, Volunteer Firefighter, Mountain Home Volunteer Fire Dept., TX: Dusty showcased heroism during flood rescues, saving 30 lives in one day.
• - Jiya Jadhav, Junior Firefighter, New Hyde Park Fire Dept., NY: Recently honored as 2025 National Junior Firefighter of the Year, Jiya exemplifies the next generation of first responders.
