GINZA COFFEE FESTIVAL 2026
From February 16 to 23, 2026, the Ginza Mitsukoshi department store in Tokyo will host the
GINZA COFFEE FESTIVAL 2026, a celebration of coffee culture under the guidance of
Tetsu Kasuya, CEO of Philocoffea and the World Brewers Cup champion of 2016.
As a specialty coffee advisor for the event, Kasuya aims to create a space filled with happiness and excitement, celebrating Japan's current status in the coffee scene. Renowned coffee roasters, cafes, and baristas will gather to present their unique coffee creations, allowing visitors to experience a rich blend of culture and taste.
Kasuya stated, "Delivering the essence of Japanese coffee in a place like Ginza holds significant meaning. Coffee embodies not just technical skill but also the intertwining of culture and connection. Through this event, I hope people rediscover how even a single cup of coffee can evoke emotions."
What to Expect at the Festival
The
GINZA COFFEE FESTIVAL focuses on the theme of
the fusion of coffee and Ginza, making it a confluence of various cultures and experiences centered around coffee. This will be the seventh edition of the festival, and a new advisory team formed to curate an exciting lineup from multiple perspectives, including specialty coffee, café culture, and marketing.
During the festival, Philocoffea will set up a booth, featuring the exclusive
TOKYO BLEND, which is normally only available at their Omotesando store. The limited-time offering showcases their specialty coffee, which has garnered attention worldwide. On weekends, Kasuya himself will be present at the booth, alongside skilled baristas who have participated in competitions, providing guests with exceptional coffee experiences. Details regarding the schedule will be announced through social media.
