Volcan de mi Tierra Unveils Exclusive Marble Bottle Collection

In an exciting development for tequila connoisseurs and lovers of luxury, Volcan de mi Tierra, a premier tequila brand, has launched its inaugural marble bottle collection. This launch, which took place at Miami's Art Basel, celebrates the rich agricultural and cultural heritage of Mexico while bringing together traditional craftsmanship with contemporary luxury.

The Colección La Gavilana I features 1,774 exquisite vessels crafted from Bianco Carrara marble, a celebrated material known for its beauty and timeless appeal. This distinctive collaboration with ARCA, a leading supplier of premium natural stone, epitomizes a commitment to art and craftsmanship that is quintessential to Volcan de mi Tierra’s identity.

The history behind this collaboration dates back to 1774 when the Gallardo family, founders of the tequila brand, settled at Hacienda La Gavilana in Jalisco. Each individual marble piece in this collection pays homage to the hacienda’s legacy and the family's unwavering dedication to producing exceptional tequila. Each vessel is not just a container for spirit; it is an art piece influenced by the family’s history and aspirations.

CEO Santiago Cortina Gallardo expressed the significance of this launch, noting, "This project reflects my family’s origins and the luxury that stems from our culture. Partnering with ARCA, whose artisans share our vision, allows us to unveil a product that embodies the essence of both tequila and artistry."

The vessels themselves are adorned with the silhouette of Volcan's iconic Prestige Collection, making each piece uniquely valuable. What is particularly remarkable is that the bottles contain Volcán Añejo, an exceptional tequila crafted from 100% Lowlands Blue Weber agave and aged for over 18 months. Notably, it undergoes an additional 414 days in sherry casks, imparting rich flavors that include ripe fruit, dark chocolate, and warm spice.

Retailing at $2,900, each bottle is a testament to the meticulous process behind its creation and the high standards that Volcan de mi Tierra upholds. This collaboration is not just a one-time event; it marks an annual commitment between Volcan de mi Tierra and ARCA to produce a new marble vessel and a uniquely crafted tequila every year.

Gerardo Cortina, founder of ARCA, emphasized the transformative nature of the collaboration, stating, "This union of tradition, luxury, and utility redefines the boundaries of contemporary luxury. Bianco Carrara not only serves as a vessel for tequila but becomes an embodiment of intention and elegance."

As we look forward to subsequent collections set to be unveiled in the future, Colección La Gavilana I stands as a beautiful testament to the blend of craftsmanship, design, and the rich cultural heritage of Mexico. This launch serves to solidify Volcan de mi Tierra’s place not only in the spirits industry but also in the realm of luxury design, demonstrating how spirits can be intrinsically linked to artistry and nationhood.

The collaboration has the potential to inspire other luxury brands to look beyond traditional boundaries, merging the cultural significance of their products with high art and design.
