JPI Seminar: Current State of BIM Adoption in Japan
On March 5th, 2026, the Japan Plan Institute (JPI) will host a highly anticipated seminar focused on the current status of Building Information Modeling (BIM) adoption within Japan. This event will feature esteemed guest speaker Dr. Kazunari Shite, a professor at Shibaura Institute of Technology and a prominent member of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's BIM Promotion Conference.

As we approach the 17th year since the inception of BIM in Japan and celebrate six years since the establishment of the BIM Promotion Conference, it's essential to assess the progress of BIM's implementation. With the commencement of the BIM drawing review system set for spring 2026, the event aims to elucidate the significance of standardizing architectural information management techniques.
