SCOA Real Estate Partners Enhances Residential Team with New Leadership Additions

SCOA Real Estate Partners (SREP), a subsidiary of the Sumitomo Corporation of Americas, is excited to announce the addition of two new leaders to its residential investments team. With the real estate market constantly evolving, these appointments come at a crucial time for the organization.

Kendall Johnson joins SREP as Vice President, bringing with her a wealth of experience in real estate investment and development. Before her role at SREP, Kendall made significant contributions at Jamestown, where she was instrumental in acquiring nearly $3 billion worth of assets covering multifamily, retail, and mixed-use projects. Her prior experience also includes advisory and debt placement work at Stephens Inc., a prominent investment banking firm. Based in Atlanta, Kendall graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Rhodes College. Her extensive background will help SREP continue to identify and capitalize on promising investment opportunities in the residential sector.

Fayyaz Chowdhury joins the team as Assistant Vice President, bringing over eight years of experience in real estate investment management to the table. His most recent position as Senior Associate at Longacre Asset Management had him concentrating on both residential and industrial investments. Fayyaz began his career with PGIM Real Estate and previously served as an Associate at The Carlyle Group, focusing on LP investments in development deals. He holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Statistics from The University of Virginia. His analytical skills will be vital in guiding SREP’s strategic direction in residential investments.

Joe Zagranski, the President of SCOA Real Estate Partners, expressed his enthusiasm for the new additions: "We are thrilled to welcome Kendall Johnson and Fayyaz Chowdhury to the team. Their expertise and leadership will be invaluable as we continue to grow our residential development platform and deliver impactful communities that align with our mission."
