The framework serves as an instrument for digital transformation, boasting open-source technology that utilizes GPU-native Ansys Fluent® fluid simulation software for scalable deployment. Krones AG, a leader in bottling and packaging technology, was the first to implement this solution, creating a virtual assembly line that addresses critical factors like bottle shape, liquid viscosity, and fill levels for real-time optimization.

The need for manufacturers to optimize workflows has long been a challenge due to conventional computational fluid dynamic (CFD) simulations, which often require several hours to produce results. Synopsys tackled this issue by leveraging a cloud-native, GPU-accelerated simulation solver that can deliver results in under five minutes, allowing for rapid scenario analysis and continuous improvement.
