Shima's presentation, titled "Transforming Development! Changing Tomorrow! The Current State of Generative AI", will delve into the future of AI-driven technologies. The discussion will highlight transformations happening in app development, programming, and educational approaches.

Shima stated, "The rapid evolution of generative AI is reshaping the future of IT on a daily basis. As generative AI continues to emerge as a platform for various activities in society, it will redefine the current norms and significantly increase internet traffic. We are witnessing a shift in the role of applications that deal with user interfaces and a redefinition of developers and programming. Furthermore, devices will become more user-centric."

Learning in the Age of Generative AI


In his keynote, Shima will explore how learning methodologies are adapting in the generative AI era. There are numerous instances where individuals have acquired development skills primarily through generative AI, without traditional instruction. Approaches utilizing AI-driven development enable swift mastery of new skills.

Profile of Yoshikazu Shima


Yoshikazu Shima, the CTO of KDDI Technology, hails from Hiroshima Prefecture and was born on September 4, 1969. After completing his master’s degree at the University of Tsukuba, he joined a major electronics manufacturer, focusing on browser development. In 2012, he joined KDDI Technology, and became the CTO in 2021. Currently, he spearheads technological development while promoting mobile and internet technologies, as well as nurturing talent via community management and writing.
