LILYSILK Releases 2024 Impact Report on World Environment Day, Showcasing Sustainability Commitment

LILYSILK Unveils 2024 Impact Report

On June 5, 2025, coinciding with World Environment Day, LILYSILK revealed its 2024 Impact Report, marking the third consecutive year the brand has shown its dedication to sustainable development. As the world's leading silk brand, LILYSILK aims to inspire individuals to lead spectacular and sustainable lives. The report highlights the considerable progress the brand has made in reinforcing its commitment to responsible production and sound environmental management.

Commitment to Zero Waste

A central theme of the report is LILYSILK's commitment to a zero-waste initiative, structured around three fundamental principles: Zero Stock, Zero Waste, and Zero Refuse.

1. Zero Stock: LILYSILK's made-to-order manufacturing model enables the company to create garments in just 48 hours, significantly minimizing waste by only producing what is genuinely needed.

2. Zero Waste: The brand has creatively repurposed surplus fabrics into 7,323 patchwork pillowcases, 29,048 hair ties, and 15,410 eye masks. Additionally, over 5 tons of leftover materials have been shredded and transformed into sustainable fabrics, including silk and wool blends for upcoming collections.

3. Zero Refuse: In collaboration with TerraCycle®, LILYSILK offers a recycling program for silk products, successfully preventing over 490 pounds of materials from heading to landfills in 2024 alone. To date, the initiative has recycled more than 2,690 items, aiding in the diversion of unusable silk textiles from landfills and incinerators.

Sustainable Packaging Practices

In 2024, LILYSILK made significant advancements in its packaging practices, with 99% of its outer packaging being biodegradable. The brand aims to achieve 100% biodegradable packaging by 2026, further contributing to environmental sustainability. Furthermore, many of the materials utilized now carry FSC® certification, ensuring responsible sourcing from well-managed forests.

Ethical Partnerships

LILYSILK extends its commitment to sustainability by maintaining rigorous evaluation processes for its suppliers, requiring that they possess globally recognized certifications, such as GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), RWS (Responsible Wool Standard), GCS (Good Cashmere Standard), and OEKO-TEX. This assures that raw materials are sourced ethically and meet the highest environmental and social standards.

David Wang, CEO of LILYSILK, stated, "For World Environment Day 2025, we are proud to share our progress towards a more sustainable future. Our mission to inspire people to live spectacularly aligns with our commitment to sustainability. By reducing waste, enhancing supply chains, and establishing partners with similar values, we aim to create a positive impact on our customers and the planet."

Leading the Fashion Industry in Sustainability

The 2024 Impact Report reinforces LILYSILK's position as a leader in sustainability within the fashion industry, providing customers with high-quality, environmentally friendly products. The brand empowers consumers to make responsible choices through its practices.
