On July 28, 2026, ORENDA WORLD, based in Minato, Tokyo, participated in the “Regional Revitalization Business Matching Conference” organized by Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company. This conference was held at the Sendai International Center in Miyagi Prefecture and brought together companies from the Tohoku region.

Established in 2011 as a part of the seismic recovery efforts after the Great East Japan Earthquake, the “Regional Revitalization Business Matching Conference” has continued to foster business exchanges within the Tohoku area. The event is designed to enhance business opportunities for local companies, showcasing products, services, and more while encouraging collaboration and business expansion.

This was the 18th installment of the conference, attracting applications from 751 companies across the Tohoku region, with 130 exhibitors showcasing their offerings. Cumulatively, the event has seen participation from over 10,000 companies. The conference featured dedicated meeting spaces for negotiations among 15 businesses including general contractors, IT firms, and local department stores, facilitating vital information exchanges and discussions.

At the ORENDA WORLD booth, approximately 30 businesses engaged in discussions, drawing significant interest towards their AI talent development service, “A.I.KEN.” They elaborated on the past efforts and training instances of this program while highlighting the upcoming launch of the “Katsurao Digital Innovation LAB,” scheduled for completion in Katsurao Village, Fukushima Prefecture, in September.

A common theme of interest was the acquisition of AI skills and its application within organizations. Queries like “How can we integrate AI into our operations?” and “What level of knowledge can employees gain through training?” reflected a strong interest in enhancing AI capabilities within companies.

Additionally, discussions touched on collaborative projects under a partnership agreement among ORENDA WORLD, the Fukushima University Future Design Center, and Katsurao Village. This initiative aims to advance education, research, and societal implementation to cultivate highly-skilled IT personnel and contribute to the revitalization of Katsurao Village. ORENDA WORLD also shared success stories involving employees enrolled in the graduate program at Fukushima University.
