Upcoming Price Pass-Through Support Seminar
In response to the recent surge in crude oil prices, which affects energy and various operational costs, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is organizing a seminar specifically aimed at supporting businesses in the service, retail, and food sectors. Unlike businesses that have clear negotiation partners in the B2B model, these industries face unique challenges in implementing pricing strategies while maintaining customer loyalty.
Seminar Overview
The seminar will take place on June 12, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, with a structured format including a 60-minute presentation followed by a 30-minute Q&A session. It focuses on helping businesses navigate price increases effectively without losing customer base.
Key Topics to Be Covered:
1.
Current Inflation Trends: Understanding the economic landscape and what to expect moving forward.
2.
Effective Pricing Strategies by Customer Type: Tailoring approaches for different customer segments to ensure successful price adjustments.
3.
Three Fundamental Pricing Concepts: Delving into the psychology and strategies surrounding effective pricing decisions.
4.
Innovation in Pricing Approaches: Insights into consumer psychology and how to creatively approach pricing to ensure customer satisfaction.
5.
Determining Acceptable Price Increase Levels: Guidelines on how much price increase is feasible without deterring customers.
Individual Consultations
Following the seminar, participants will have the opportunity to engage in individual consultations to solidify the strategies discussed. These consultations will offer personalized guidance tailored to each business’s context.
Expert Speaker
The event will feature Tatsuya Yamaguchi, the representative of Brand Fine and a certified small business consultant. His expertise will provide invaluable insights into navigating the complexities of pricing in today’s challenging economic environment.
Seminar Format
The event will be held in-person at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s Akihabara branch, located at 1-9 Kanda Sakumacho, Chiyoda, Tokyo, and will also include a follow-up online broadcast for those who cannot attend live.
