Topband's Mexico Facility Sees Massive Growth with Localized Production Strategies

Topband's Expanding Manufacturing Ventures in Mexico

Shenzhen Topband Co., Ltd. is making significant strides in global manufacturing with its facility in Monterrey, Mexico. This location has become central to the company's strategy of local-for-local production, especially in the Americas. In 2024, the Monterrey facility impressively recorded an annual output of approximately $34.9 million (~RMB 250 million), reflecting a staggering sixfold year-over-year increase. This growth is primarily fueled by advancements in automation, increased production capacity, and operational efficiencies.

The Monterrey plant, strategically located in one of Mexico's major industrial hubs, boasts 19 fully operational production lines and plans to expand with an additional six lines in 2025. This enables Topband to offer a diverse range of smart controllers used in power tools and home appliances. At its full operational capacity, the facility is positioned to reach an impressive total output of 12 million units annually.

Designed for optimal efficiency, the Monterrey factory integrates seamlessly with Topband's global quality and management systems. Recognized with IMMEX status, the facility also holds international certifications such as UL, ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001, ensuring high standards in manufacturing conduct.

In terms of process improvement, the facility has achieved remarkable milestones. In 2024, a key production line dedicated to power tools saw a 39% enhancement in Units Per Person Hour (UPPH), along with a 19% reduction in manpower needs. Overall, the per capita output at the Monterrey facility escalated from approximately $11,170 (~RMB 80,000) to $31,540 (~RMB 226,000), indicating substantial gains in both productivity and operational processes.

As of March 2025, the facility has grown to employ over 1,100 staff members. This workforce underpins a multifaceted operation, covering aspects such as manufacturing, assembly, quality assurance, and logistics. With the rising demand for localized and adaptable supply chain solutions across the Americas, the Monterrey facility is well-positioned as a critical hub, providing enhanced flexibility, shorter lead times, and fortified delivery resilience for customers in the region.
