Background and Vision
Seven-Eleven Japan has established four visions: health, community, environment, and human resources. Through collaborations, they have formed partnership agreements with over 250 local governments across Japan, focusing on solving various local challenges. Kameoka City initiated its “Dog-Friendly City Project” in 2023, which includes raising awareness about pet etiquette, improving environments, and disseminating information to make life easier for both pets and people. This unique partnership with Seven-Eleven Japan represents a significant milestone, recognizing Kameoka’s exclusive theme of living with dogs.
Previously, both entities entered into an agreement regarding a PET bottle recycling initiative in 2022, aimed at reducing plastic waste. The new partnership will expand their existing initiatives to include more areas like local food promotion, education, welfare, and health to further enhance community revitalization efforts.
