Oshu City Product Fair: A Celebration of Local Delicacies
Oshu City, located in the picturesque Iwate Prefecture of Japan, will host the exciting "Oshu City Product Fair - Direct Delivery from Oshu!" from
December 4 (Thursday) to December 7 (Sunday). The event will take place at the Iwate Ginga Plaza, an antenna shop in Ginza, Tokyo. This year’s fair will feature an array of special regional products chosen by Oshu's official mascot, Oshu-Taro, along with a fantastic gift campaign for attendees. Notably, visitors can also see a handshake statue of Shohei Ohtani, the famous Los Angeles Dodgers player and native of Oshu City!
Focus on Local Delicacies
The Oshu City Product Fair puts a spotlight on the region's culinary treasures. Throughout the fair, guests can look forward to tasting and purchasing various local specialties, as well as enjoying a display of the Shohei Ohtani handshake statue.

- - Drip bag coffee, coffee milk base, roasted beans

The Handshake Statue of Shohei Ohtani
Last year's event was a huge success, drawing significant media attention and long lines for a chance to see the statue created from a 3D scan of Ohtani's hand. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to shake hands with the statue and capture memorable photos. This is a rare chance, so be sure to stop by!

HARU.RICE.FACTORY
Managed by Kazumo Honjo, this rice farming family has a rich history of 30 years in the field. They use meticulous methods for harvesting and processing rice to ensure the highest quality. Their business name is inspired by their grandchild's name.
Hatomune Coffee
Led by Sachiko Watanabe, this company specializes in sourcing quality coffee beans and roasting them with care in a hand-cranked iron roaster. Their drip bags come in a variety of designs, including themes related to Oshu-Taro.
Kamikodashiro Corporation
Managed by Takuya Ito, this business operates in a mountainous area since 2001. They focus on sustainable farming and food processing, producing organic ginger and various corn types, all sourced from their clean surroundings.
About Oshu City
Located in the southern part of Iwate Prefecture, Oshu City is known for its rich tradition of craftsmanship, including Nambu ironware and Iwayado tansu, as well as culinary delights such as rice and Maezawa beef. It is also the hometown of Major League Baseball star Shohei Ohtani.

On the 7th, the event ends at 5:00 PM; attendees wishing to shake hands with the statue should queue by 4:00 PM.
