In July 2025, Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and QON Co., Ltd. partnered to create a vibrant online community named "Kenja no Smart Gohan Bu" (Smart Meal Club of the Wise). This initiative aims to promote health through an enjoyable approach to daily meals. By fostering appreciation for good food and encouraging small, thoughtful changes—referred to as "smart tweaks"—the community aims to support individuals in living healthier lives naturally.

What is the Smart Meal Club?



The Smart Meal Club is designed to transform everyday meals into exciting experiences. Participation is free and open to everyone. It caters to individuals who wish to enjoy their favorite foods without guilt while being conscious of their health. Members are encouraged to share tips and practices for incorporating "smart tweaks" into their meals, fostering healthier lifestyles that prioritize future well-being.

With the product "Kenja no Shokutaku Double Support," designed to moderate sugar and fat absorption through dietary fiber (indigestible dextrin), this community provides insights into healthier eating. Designed to support blood sugar and triglyceride balance post-meal, this functional food symbolizes a commitment to elevating health-conscious eating practices.

A Place to Connect



Launched as a part of the Kizuna Community—a fan platform by QON that began in January 2020—this initiative allows over 2 million participants from diverse backgrounds to engage meaningfully with various brands and public entities. The platform encourages collaboration and feedback, creating events that embody the essence of connection and value creation among consumers and corporations.

The staff behind the Smart Meal Club expressed their commitment to understanding modern dietary needs as Japan shifts toward Western eating habits, leading to decreased fiber intake and resulting health issues. Their vision is to create products that align effectively with contemporary lifestyles—leading to the development of the Smart Meal Club as a space for sharing the joys of food.
