This exciting gathering will take place at the Daiwa House Premist Dome, famously known as Sapporo Dome. This event follows successful implementations in regions like Taiwan and Hong Kong, showcasing its charm to a wide audience, including visitors from both Japan and abroad, spanning various age groups from children to adults. Moreover, prior to this main event, a "Sapporo Walk Rally" will take place starting on July 18, 2026, inviting participants to explore the city's vibrant surroundings.

Event Highlights

Participants in this event will wear original Super Mario merchandise distributed as part of the event, bringing back nostalgic memories while navigating a beautifully decorated course. The roughly 2.5 km loop will feature various photo spots, allowing participants to capture memorable moments with friends and family amidst lively music and festive atmosphere. The course is designed to be beginner-friendly, making it accessible even for those who are not regular runners.

Runner Participation Perks

Runners will receive an official T-shirt (sponsored by Uniqlo) featuring the iconic "Goal Pole" from the game on the back, fostering a sense of unity and excitement as they aim for the finish line together. Additional exclusive items for participants include:

• - Official towels (in collaboration with Mizuno)
• - Custom caps
• - Original drawstring backpacks
• - Completion medals
• - Bib numbers

All these items are exclusively for race participants and will not be available for purchase.

At the Venue

Attendees who purchase entrance tickets (even if not participating in the running) can also enjoy the venue's various activities. This includes the sale of exclusive merchandise related to the event, playful zones featuring engaging mini-games like ring toss and yo-yo fishing, as well as food stalls offering popular local delicacies, including original Churros by DANNY CHURROS and Hokkaido's signature Genghis Khan BBQ.

Additionally, a Nintendo Switch 2 gaming experience will be hosted on-site, where visitors can try out new games that will be announced closer to the event.

Registration Information

Sapporo Walk Rally

In conjunction with the main event, a "Sapporo Walk Rally" will take place from July 18 to September 12. Participants can purchase a rally sheet and take on quizzes related to Super Mario as they explore iconic spots around Sapporo, with a special souvenir for those who complete all locations.

Rally Participation Fee: ¥1,300 (including tax)
Complete Special Giveaway: Super Mario commemorative star coin to participants who complete all points.
