The 2024 SANYO Awards Ceremony: Honoring Excellence in Retail and Product Development
On June 6, 2024, Sanyo Shokai Co., Ltd. held its annual SANYO Awards ceremony at its headquarters located in Shinjuku, Tokyo. This prestigious event aimed to recognize and celebrate the exceptional sales efforts of various retail locations and the innovative product developments achieved by the company's planning teams over the past year.
The ceremony welcomed approximately 80 participants, including representatives from winning retail locations and project teams, with some stakeholders joining remotely due to geographical constraints. The awards covered two main categories: the Retail Division and the Product Division, highlighting a commitment to excellence and sustainability.
Retail Division Awards
In the Retail Division, out of 775 retail locations nationwide, Sanyo Shokai selected 34 outstanding locations that significantly contributed to achieving their annual budget targets. These selections were based on various performance metrics, allowing for a fair evaluation of each store’s contribution to the company's overall success. Recognitions included the
Excellence Award, which was given to the top 24 stores, and junior accolades such as the
Bravery Award for an additional 10 deserving locations.
Among these participating stores, two distinguished retail locations were honored with the
President's Award (Grand Prize):
- - Paul Stuart at Tobu Department Store, Ikebukuro
- - Mackintosh London at Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza
These awards underline the dedication and hard work of the teams behind these impressive sales results.
Product Division Awards
The Product Division also showcased exceptional talent, as evaluations led to the selection of prominent products developed in 2024. A total of 22 items were considered, with the best receiving recognition based on their sales performance and innovations that addressed market needs, particularly regarding sustainability.
The
Grand Prize in this category was awarded to the

The

Future Goals and Commitment to Excellence

The SANYO Awards program, rebranded in 2017, aims not only to reward high-performing individuals but to integrate sustainable practices into the company’s operations across the board. This initiative reflects Sanyo Shokai's continuous commitment to innovation and responsiveness to customer needs.
The future will be shaped by a focus on enhancing both product quality and sales expertise — the twin pillars that will drive the company's growth forward, supporting the ambitious targets laid out in its mid-term management plan.
Through initiatives like the SANYO Awards, Sanyo Shokai looks to elevate employee morale and engagement, ensuring that both the company and its consumers benefit from superior products and services moving forward.
