Creative Tech Textile Unveils Nature-Inspired Fiber Innovations at Première Vision Paris 2025

A New Dawn in Sustainable Textiles

Creative Tech Textile / Hans Global, a pioneer in sustainable fibers, is set to present their latest innovations at Première Vision Paris from September 16 to 18, 2025. The company will unveil two exciting materials: Seawool® and Smawarm®, at booth 6S29 in the Paris-Nord Villepinte exhibition center. This marks a significant step in the integration of eco-friendly practices within the textile industry, showcasing how nature-inspired innovations can lead to sustainable yet high-performance fabrics.

Seawool®: Transforming Marine Waste into Fashion

Seawool® is a revolutionary textile crafted from recycled oyster shells and marine plastics. By transforming waste into wearable materials, Creative Tech Textile not only addresses global pollution but also honors Taiwan’s tradition of oyster farming. Each year, a mere 1% of the global oyster shell waste can yield up to 900 tons of Seawool® fibers, highlighting its vast potential in promoting a circular economy and reducing environmental impact.

In 2023, the company successfully reclaimed 100 tons of oyster shells and 300 tons of post-consumer plastic waste, signaling a robust commitment to sustainability. Beyond its environmental benefits, Seawool® offers incredible functionality, blending the comfort of wool with additional performance features:
  • - Natural antibacterials and odor resistance
  • - Temperature regulation, ensuring softness and comfort
  • - Machine washable, eliminating the need for harmful dry cleaning solvents

Acknowledged for Excellence

The innovative impact of Seawool® has garnered global recognition, including prestigious accolades such as the Red Dot Award. Its production process is designed to be low-carbon and water-efficient, setting new benchmarks for eco-friendly textile manufacturing. By combining natural inspiration with cutting-edge technology, Seawool® is not just addressing urgent environmental issues; it’s redefining the future of responsible fashion.

Smawarm®: A New Standard in Thermal Insulation

Alongside Seawool®, the company will introduce Smawarm®, an innovative thermal insulation material. Mimicking the fluffy hollow strands found in polar bear fur, Smawarm®'s spiral structure enhances heat retention, promising high performance while remaining sustainable.

The core of this innovation lies in micro air pockets formed from oyster shell fibers, which effectively trap body heat without adding bulk. This lightweight, soft, and pleasant-to-wear material results from years of research and development aimed at redefining warmth through smart insulation and excellent temperature control. Its key features suitable for various applications include:
  • - Breathability and moisture-wicking
  • - Anti-bacterial and static-resistant properties
  • - Ideal for everyday clothing, outdoor gear, and high-performance items like gloves, jackets, and insulated bags

The Vision Behind the Innovation

Eddie Wang, founder and CEO of Creative Tech Textile / Hans Global, emphasizes the company’s belief that the future of fashion innovation lies in nature, where sustainability intertwines with performance. “Seawool® is our fundamental innovation, which we fondly refer to as the ‘Emerald of the Ocean.’ Through our work, we transform oyster shells and marine plastics into high-performance fibers that lessen environmental burdens without compromising quality. Smawarm® builds upon this legacy, providing lightweight, breathable insulation that delivers warmth and comfort with a biomimetic touch,” Wang notes.

Creative Tech Textile / Hans Global is also an active member of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) and adheres to the Higg Index standards to reinforce its commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) best practices across its supply chain. As they prepare for their debut at Première Vision, the company invites global partners who share their vision for a more responsible and sustainable textile industry to connect at their exhibit.
