Qatar's New Cultural Landmark at the Venice Biennale

Sheikha Al Mayassa stated that "the Biennale of Venice represents the highest gathering of art and architecture globally, and Qatar is proud to secure its place in this international showcase of creativity and culture." Slated to be inaugurated in May 2025 during the 19th International Architecture Exhibition, the Qatar Pavilion will launch with a major installation named the Community Centre, designed by Pakistani architect Yasmeen Lari. This installation will be featured as part of the upcoming exhibition titled Beyti Beytak, which translates to "My Home is Your Home."

The exhibition intends to explore themes of hospitality and traditions of welcome within contemporary architecture across the MENASA region, showcasing how these practices influence architectural landscapes. Furthermore, it will highlight groundbreaking works by over 20 modern and contemporary architects, many of whom will be featured in Venice for the first time.
