Kyoto Station's Beer Garden 2025: A Fresh Taste of Summer
As the summer heat persists in Kyoto, a refreshing experience awaits at the newly launched Beer Garden located directly at Kyoto Station. The event titled
'KYOTO STATION BEER GARDEN 2025 NIWA no Beer Garden' is set to run from
August 1, 2025, to
October 13, 2025. This innovative pop-up is a collaboration led by
NAKED, INC., a creative company based in Shibuya, Tokyo, renowned for blending culture with creativity.
The focal point of this event is the unique
'Zebra Drinking' concept, which encourages participants to alternate between alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. This practical approach to drinking aims not only to enhance health consciousness but also to foster a fun, social drinking culture. With Kyoto's average high temperature hitting approximately
33°C, the 'Zebra Drinking' method serves as an effective means to avoid overheating and dehydration while enjoying the ambiance and flavors of Kyoto's summer nights. The initiative promotes a drinking style that values enjoying the experience over just getting inebriated.
Why Choose Zebra Drinking?
1.
Inclusivity: Both drinkers and non-drinkers can share a toast and enjoy together.
2.
Pace Yourself: Attendees can enjoy drinks at their speed without losing the sense of community.
3.
Health-Conscious: Emphasizes social interaction while being mindful of health and hydration.
Exciting Non-Alcoholic Options
The Beer Garden will also feature
Zeroppa, a non-alcoholic sour drink from Suntory, available ahead of its official launch next year. Designed to mimic the taste and aesthetic of traditional alcoholic beverages, Zeroppa is perfect for those who want to participate without consuming alcohol, thus enhancing the
Zebra Drinking experience. Whether you enjoy the taste of alcohol or prefer to hold back, Zeroppa lets everyone join the celebration in style.
