AM General Showcases Next-Gen Military Vehicles at Eurosatory 2026

AM General Set to Impress at Eurosatory 2026

In the ever-evolving landscape of military defense, AM General is set to demonstrate significant advancements at the upcoming Eurosatory 2026, to be held at the Parc des Expositions de Villepinte in Paris, France from June 15 to 19. Among the highlights at AM General's showcase will be the innovative Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) and the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle A2 (JLTV A2). Both of these next-generation military vehicles are designed with cutting-edge features aimed at improving operational efficiency and adaptability on the battlefield.

Introducing the Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV)

The AM General UGV stands out as a pioneering autonomous platform, engineered to meet various mission requirements, from logistical support to casualty evacuation. By integrating advanced counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) capabilities, this autonomous vehicle redefines battlefield dynamics. John Chadbourne, the President and CEO of AM General, emphasized that the UGV represents a leap forward in operational effectiveness, allowing military leaders to leverage mobile technology for a wide array of applications, including defense operations.

Equipped with a rugged chassis supplied by AM General, the UGV boasts a powerful 250-horsepower engine and can carry payloads of up to 6,000 pounds. This versatility enables it to execute missions involving reconnaissance, armed overwatch, and other essential military functions. Notably, attendees at Eurosatory will witness live demonstrations featuring the Hornet Remote Weapon Station, showcasing the vehicle's capacity for offensive operations.

The Enhanced JLTV A2

Also featured at the event will be the JLTV A2, a significant upgrade over its predecessor, the A1. The JLTV A2 offers a four-man variant equipped with the lightweight Hornet Lite Remote Weapon Station. Not only does this enhance its reconnaissance capabilities, but it also incorporates over 1,000 changes compared to the previous model, enhancing manufacturability, reliability, and operational efficiency. The JLTV A2 is being delivered to the U.S. Government for thorough testing and evaluation, setting the stage for its future deployment.

AM General has ensured that the JLTV A2 maintains a focus on sustainability and maintainability while enhancing its overall operational capacity. These improvements further solidify its role as a leading light tactical vehicle within military operations, meeting the rigorous needs of defense forces worldwide.
