Tokyo Tatsumi Ice Arena Opening Event
The highly anticipated
Tokyo Tatsumi Ice Arena is set to open its doors on
September 6, marking a new era for ice sports in Tokyo. This facility is the first public ice rink of its kind, set to serve as a year-round venue for skating, ice hockey, curling, para ice hockey, and wheelchair curling.
To celebrate the grand opening, the arena will host a vibrant
opening event, welcoming enthusiasts of all ages and abilities, whether you're a novice or expert. From
July 18 to August 17, pre-registration for various programs will be available. Be sure to check the arena's website for more details on how to sign up!

Facility Overview
The Tokyo Tatsumi Ice Arena has been renovated from the
Tokyo Tatsumi International Swimming Center, known as the 'holy land of swimming' and used for water polo during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. This new ice facility utilizes the existing pool area to create two ice rinks. The main rink follows international standards, allowing for various competitions, while the sub-rink is equipped for curling.

- - Main Rink Size: 60m x 30m (international standard)
- - Sub Rink Size: 47m x 17m
- - Seating Capacity: Approximately 3,600 fixed seats (1,500 in the second level and 2,100 in the third level), plus 1,400 temporary seats on the first level.
- - Sports Available: Figure skating, ice hockey, short track, curling, para ice hockey, wheelchair curling.
- - Usage Fee: General admission starts from 800 yen (for students), with skate rentals at 400 yen. Special usage fees start from 37,500 yen for 1.5 hours on the main rink.
