Beko Releases Its Integrated Report 2025
In a significant announcement, Beko has unveiled its Integrated Report 2025, providing a detailed overview of the company's financial, ecological, and social performance over the past year. This release comes as Beko is recognized for the third consecutive year by TIME Magazine as one of the world's most sustainable companies, retaining the top position in its industry. This accolade, awarded in collaboration with Statista, marks a solid confirmation of Beko's ongoing and measurable progress towards sustainability.
Key Achievements in 2025
The report chronicles remarkable results from Beko's global production sites. Significant highlights include:
- - Energy Savings: Through various energy efficiency initiatives, Beko saved 69,562 GJ of energy, which translated into avoided CO₂ emissions of 5,297 tons.
- - Waste Management: The company achieved a waste recovery rate of 98.6% across all production sites, nearing its goal of 99%.
- - Renewable Energy: The installed capacity from renewable sources increased from 90.2 MWp to 96 MWp, with a 63.5% share of green energy usage, aiming for 100% by 2030.
- - Water Conservation: Water efficiency projects have led to savings of 219,114 m³ of water across various sites.
These figures are emblematic of a broad transformation within the manufacturing sector. Notably, three of Beko's facilities have been recognized under the World Economic Forum's Global Lighthouse Network, with the Ulmi plant also receiving the rarer 'Sustainability Lighthouse' designation. The principles underpinning Ulmi's approach are being extended across Beko's production ecosystem as the company expands its environmentally responsible manufacturing practices.
Currently, Beko operates 13 Smart Factories worldwide, which are equipped with artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotics, with plans to increase this number to 17 by the end of 2026.
In terms of circular economy initiatives, Beko's refurbishment centers revived over 148,000 household appliances in 2025. Since 2014, the company has handled 1.98 million discarded electrical and electronic devices in its recycling facilities and utilized 31,665 tons of recycled plastics in its products during 2025. Impressively, 72.6% of Beko's 2025 revenue came from low CO₂ products, reflecting both the breadth of the company's energy-efficient offerings and the increasing consumer demand for environmentally considerate appliances.
Leadership Insights
Can Dinçer, CEO of Beko, emphasized the significance of the TIME Magazine recognition, stating, "This award highlights that sustainability is a core element of Beko's business operations. Our factories are undergoing a dual transformation, tackling both decarbonization and digitization simultaneously. This progress is targeted and measurable, as detailed in our integrated report. As the world prepares for COP31, it's essential for a company to demonstrate its efforts rather than merely announce them, and that's precisely what we are doing."
Beko's consistent presence on the annual TIME list, which assesses over 5,000 companies worldwide based on ecological and social performance, transparency, and ESG reporting, underscores the company's commitment to embedding sustainability into its operational framework and product portfolios.
In addition to its Integrated Report, Beko has also published its second sustainability report, aligned with the Türkiye Sustainability Reporting Standards (TSRS), which acts as Turkey's response to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for sustainability reporting. This report is available to the public and offers detailed insights into climate-related risks, opportunities, governance, strategy, and performance.
