Experience an Artistic Exploration of the Body with Amok Conan at ClafT2026
On September 12, 2026, the ClafT2026 festival will showcase a unique performance titled
'FOLD INTERFERENCE Acoustic Fold Experiment #01 Vacuum Chamber' by the innovative dancer Amok Conan. This one-day event will be held at the Chateau Koganei basement space, located at 6-5-3 Honcho, Koganei City, Tokyo.
Amok Conan is a research artist, choreographer, and body researcher who founded the
Multi Layered Body (MLB) concept. MLB seeks to explore the interrelations between body, sound, space, vibration, and audience, making it a significant experimental performance. This methodology challenges traditional solo performances by treating the body not merely as a subject of self-expression but rather as a medium for observing phenomena. The
'Fold Interference' research methodology serves as an experimental prototype for these explorations.
As part of this performance, Amok will collaborate with renowned musician Kouseki Narukami, who has co-created several works with him in the past. Attendees can expect an engaging, thought-provoking experience that blends various artistic elements and experiments with bodily perceptions. This performance will explore and analyze the interferences and overlaps that arise between body, environment, perception, and others.
