Hatch Work Launches 'Station Chika Ride' Parking Service to Enhance Daily Commutes

Introduction to 'Station Chika Ride'

Hatch Work, a prominent real estate tech company based in Tokyo, is excited to announce the launch of its innovative park-and-ride service, 'Station Chika Ride.' Set to kick off on April 30, 2026, this service allows users to reserve vacant parking spaces in monthly parking lots on a daily basis. In collaboration with Shikoku Railway Company (JR Shikoku), the initial rollout features approximately 240 locations with a parking capacity of 5,800 vehicles along its railway lines. As part of this launch, an introductory campaign offering a 10% discount on usage fees will be implemented.

Background and Overview of the Service

The 'Station Chika Ride' service is designed to address the increasing demand for parking spaces near train stations. With the rise in commuter traffic, finding available parking has become a challenging task for many. Hatch Work aims to provide a solution by utilizing their advanced digital infrastructure, which readily presents real-time availability of parking spots. By temporarily making these spaces available to those in need, the service enhances the overall travel experience in these areas.

Users can make immediate reservations and payments online through a dedicated platform, ensuring that they have access to their own designated parking space during the reservation period. This eliminates the worry of finding parking and allows for multiple in-and-out entries as desired.

The 'Station Chika Ride' builds upon Hatch Work's existing 'At Parking Weekly' sharing service, which has already made strides in optimizing parking space usage effectively.

The Collaboration with JR Shikoku

JR Shikoku recognizes the importance of promoting local engagement and encouraging train usage among residents. However, the effective use of available parking spots in the vicinity of stations remains a challenge. To tackle this issue, JR Shikoku had previously adopted the 'At Parking Weekly' service in 2024, which enabled users to access parking spaces on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

Now, in support of further enhancing the convenience of regional mobility, JR Shikoku has decided to participate as a partner in launching 'Station Chika Ride.' The collaboration includes cooperative efforts in designing promotional campaigns to spread awareness about the service.

Future Plans

Hatch Work aims to expand 'Station Chika Ride' across public transport systems nationwide, leveraging their successful 'At Parking Cloud' platform, which boasts an impressive track record of over 470,000 vehicles as of December 2025. The company plans to collaborate closely with local governments and railway companies to better address the commutation-related challenges faced by communities.

How to Use 'Station Chika Ride'

Utilizing this service is a simple and convenient process:

1. Access the dedicated site or scan the QR code on-site.
2. Select your desired usage conditions and make an online reservation.
3. After cashless payment, you can start using the space on the same day.

Once reserved, users benefit from having the same parking spot secured for the entire duration, offering peace of mind without any concerns about full parking lots. The service is useful not only for daily shopping but also for park-and-ride options from suburban stations to central areas, as well as for travel, family visits, sightseeing, and business trips.

Promotional efforts will be carried out using posters and digital signage across approximately 250 JR Shikoku stations, progressively informing the public about the service.
