SIGEP World 2025: A Global Stage for Foodservice Innovations
As the countdown begins, SIGEP World, the premier global trade fair for the foodservice community, is gearing up for its 46th edition. Scheduled from
January 18 to 22, 2025, at the
Rimini Expo Centre in Italy, this year's event showcases an impressive
138,000 square meters of exhibition space, bringing together
1,300 exhibiting brands from
33 countries.
The event is a focal point for the latest trends in the foodservice sector, with a particular emphasis on sustainable innovations that are shaping the industry's future.
Corrado Peraboni, CEO of the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), has announced that the expo will feature a wide range of activities designed to inspire participants and push forward the food service industry.
This year, SIGEP World will welcome
Saudi Arabia as its guest country, marking one of the most international editions to date. Marco Carniello, CBO of IEG, emphasized that SIGEP has solidified its reputation as the leading event for supply chains related to
gelato,
pastries,
chocolate,
coffee,
bakery, and
pizza.
The event is also expected to attract over
520 top buyers from
79 countries alongside
2,500 registrations for the Premium Program tailored for European purchasers. These initiatives underscore the event's significance in connecting key industry players.
One of the highlights of this year's expo will be
SIGEP Vision, which will serve as the central hub for presentations and discussions related to current trends, innovations, and technologies—particularly those connected to
artificial intelligence. It promises to provide a premier platform for future global out-of-home scenarios. The inaugural presentation, titled "Global Trends and Future Scenarios of the Gelato and Foodservice Industry," will take place on
Saturday, January 18, from
2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Vision Plaza.
SIGEP Vision will also introduce three innovative projects: the
Sustainability District, aimed at promoting exemplary practices in the coffee and cocoa supply chain;
Taste of Tomorrow, which will redefine consumer experiences outside of the home through principles of bioarchitecture with gelato as a central theme; and the
Lorenzo Cagnoni Award, which recognizes innovative solutions by exhibiting companies and promising startups in areas such as digital innovation, sustainability, and packaging.
This year's expo will also feature an extension of the pizza sector, highlighting new offerings like flours, fillings, and frozen pizza bases, meeting the growing demand from consumers and vendors alike.
