On May 18, 2025, the CANNES GALA 2025 was held in conjunction with the official film market of the Cannes Film Festival, "Marché du Film," and the advanced technology sector, "CANNES NEXT." This prestigious ceremony, guided by the principle of "Honest and Noble," aims to honor individuals and organizations that are poised to shape the next century through the cultural distinction known as "Preuve du Do (Proof of the Way)."
Honorees of the Preuve du Do Award
The ceremony recognized a diverse group of honorees:

- - Gavin Wood from the UK for technology
- - Julie Taymor from the USA for performing arts
- - LEGO from Denmark for educational toys
- - Maverick Space Systems from the USA for space innovation

This event showcased the excellence of Japanese craftsmanship through the work of the Hinomoto Cultural Foundation, which presented recipients with exquisite Kutani ware teacups from Myozen Pottery. A New Challenge in Paris: JPN WORLD HUB
The journey continues with the launch of the Japan World Hub, set to further cultural exchanges. The
Japan-France Cultural Reception is scheduled for October 2025 at the luxurious
Le Damantin Hotel & Spa along the Seine River. Additionally, there will be a POP-UP event in central Paris featuring exclusive sales of select artworks displayed at CANNES GALA.
In partnership with EAST FRANCE SAS, the producer KAI will lead the charge in continuous cultural collaborations with French companies, working towards new product development that integrates traditional Japanese craftsmanship.
