CLASSICS the Small Luxury's POP UP SHOP

From September 17 to September 23, 2025, CLASSICS the Small Luxury will host a special POP UP SHOP at Ginza Mitsukoshi, featuring new handkerchief designs themed around dimensionality. The store is renowned as a pioneer in Japan's handkerchief industry, operated by Blooming Nakanishi Co., Ltd. based in Nihonbashi, Tokyo.

The new collection will showcase handkerchiefs that play with depth and shadow through overlapping fabrics, showcasing a unique series that breaks away from traditional designs. This is an exciting opportunity for customers to not only purchase these innovative products but also experience the world they represent firsthand.

Product Highlights

Among the highlights is the new KASANEIRO -重ね色- series, offered at ¥3,850 each and measuring 29x29cm. This series features five colors inspired by various aspects of the Japanese sky: Gray “Bird Cloud”, Pink “Flower Cloud”, Orange “Crimson Cloud”, Blue “Azure Sky”, and Navy “Dark Night”. Created by layering three extremely thin fabrics, these handkerchiefs present a unique palette that beautifully reflects the colors seen in the skies of Japan.

The round rose design (¥4,180, 23x23cm) and mosha mosha (¥4,950, 23x23cm) are also part of the collection. The round rose features a dimensional design with white roses appearing to bloom as if they were intertwined in a bouquet, crafted from soft, 100% cotton double gauze that requires no ironing. The mosha mosha handkerchief presents a unique texture through the application of thin cotton tape, resulting in a new type of handkerchief that is also easy to care for.

In addition to these, there will also be artist collaborations. Notably, renowned illustrator Kiyomi Nakagawa brings her creativity to the handkerchiefs, available for ¥2,750 each and sized at 41x41cm. This series showcases various designs from modern fashion to delightful sweets, capturing a vibrant mix of colors and styles. Likewise, Natsu Yamaguchi’s illustrations offer a watercolor and ink depiction of urban landscapes and thematic collages inspired by places like Paris and Hawaii, providing a refined yet playful aesthetic.

The HIKKOMI series will be available, featuring whimsical designs that appeal to animal lovers and fairy tale enthusiasts alike. The HIKKOMI Animals handkerchief, priced at ¥2,750, shows animals peeking out, while the HIKKOMI Story series showcases embroidery from beloved tales like Snow White, providing a nostalgic charm.
