Huawei Unveils Seven Smart Transportation Solutions to Enhance Digital Intelligence
Huawei's Groundbreaking Innovations in Transportation
During the recent MWC Barcelona 2025, Huawei initiated a transport forum focused on accelerating the digital intelligence of transportation. The company presented seven cutting-edge solutions across four critical transport sectors, under the guidance of Jacky Wang, vice president of Huawei's Smart Transportation Business Unit (BU).
Revolutionizing Railways
Huawei introduced its Smart Railway Yard Station Solution, designed to bolster intelligence within rail transport systems. This solution enhances intelligent fault recognition rates to an impressive 99.99%, allowing for 30% more efficient inspection and repair processes for rolling stock. By implementing intelligent detection, it halved the manual inspection workload, while perimeter detection proactively prevents missed alarms and false alerts. Notably, this initiative leads to a 40% reduction in power consumption and a 30% decrease in both costs and required space.
Advancements in Aviation
In the aviation sector, Huawei upgraded its Fully Connected All-Optical Network Solution at airports by incorporating the M45 ONU panel-type device. This upgrade supports Power over Fiber (PoF) and enhances dual-homing service protection. Additionally, the new Wi-Fi 7 technology offers significant bandwidth improvements—20% for VIP users. By refining airport Integrated Operation Centers (IOCs), this solution has the potential to boost flight departure punctuality and ground support efficiency by 5%, resulting in more accurate flight forecasts.
Enhancing Transport Operations
Huawei's Transportation Operations Coordination Center - Advanced (TOCC-A) swiftly detects traffic accidents—processing incidents 30% faster than previous models. The meticulous scheduling for charging new-energy buses promises a greater than 15% improvement in passenger mobility efficiency. The platform comprises nine modules and 16 service types, allowing flexible combinations to maximize safety, efficiency, and service quality.
Smart Port Management
In maritime applications, Huawei unveiled its Intelligent Multi-Level Port Operations Management Solution. This innovation aids port groups in transitioning to digital operations, significantly reducing reporting times from weeks to mere minutes. The ability to analyze benefit indicators more frequently than monthly supports enhanced operational decision-making.
As a testament to its proficiency, Huawei has extended its services to over 210 airports, airlines, and air traffic services, along with managing more than 300 urban rail lines—totaling over 180,000 km of railway across 70 cities. Additionally, it operates on road networks exceeding 200,000 km and caters to more than 100 clients in the maritime and ground transportation sectors.
With these advances, Huawei is poised to lead the charge into a smarter future for global transportation, underpinning the profound integration of technology into everyday mobility.
