ORSNN Appoints New Leadership Team to Enhance Loan Trading Platforms
ORSNN Introduces New Leadership for Loan Trading Enhancement
On October 2, 2026, ORSNN, an innovative electronic trading platform for institutional whole loan markets, made a notable announcement regarding its leadership team. The company revealed the appointment of Aaron Khoo as the Chief Product Officer, Werner Koepf as the Chief Technology Officer, and Ken Plank as the Senior Advisor focused on Credit Unions. This strategic move is set to align both product and engineering expertise with a unified goal: simplifying the evaluation of loan data and enhancing transaction workflows for banks, credit unions, and institutional investors.
CEO Sean Banerjee emphasized the significance of understanding loan pools at the granular loan level. He expressed confidence in the new leadership, stating, "Aaron and Werner have built and led product and engineering organizations at scale, and Ken has spent his career on the lending side of the institutions we serve. Working with our existing team, they will focus on delivering capabilities for the institutions we serve."
Leadership Profiles
Aaron Khoo, Chief Product Officer
Aaron Khoo brings a wealth of experience to ORSNN, having previously served as General Manager of AWS Control Tower and Service Catalog. He played a pivotal role in leading product and engineering for cloud governance and management services following successful engineering leadership positions at both AWS and Microsoft. Khoo’s academic credentials include a Ph.D. in computer science from Northwestern University and a BA in computer science and mathematics from Knox College.
In his new role, Khoo aims to digitize traditional loan sale workflows while integrating security, compliance, and data fidelity into the product requirements. He acknowledges that the current whole loan market is plagued by fragmented data and inefficient workflows, making transactions unnecessarily difficult. He states, “ORSNN has an opportunity to change that by bringing together better data, better tools and a more reliable transaction experience.”
Werner Koepf, Chief Technology Officer
Werner Koepf is set to drive ORSNN's technology strategy and engineering execution. Previously, he held the position of Chief Product Technology Officer at LILT AI and was the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Karat and Conversica. His extensive experience also includes senior leadership roles at renowned companies such as Ticketmaster, Expedia, and Amazon. Koepf holds a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the Technical University of Munich and has degrees in mathematics and physics from the University of Regensburg.
Koepf's enthusiasm for his role is evident as he states, “What drew me to ORSNN is the opportunity to use technology and AI to make a complex market work better.” He aspires to transform loan-level data into transparent and reliable workflows, thereby delivering real value to financial institutions.
Ken Plank, Senior Advisor, Credit Unions
Ken Plank joins ORSNN to lend his expertise in advising on the lending and portfolio needs of credit unions. With a rich history in commercial, mortgage, and consumer lending alongside experience in credit administration and risk management, Plank has held significant roles at Numerica Credit Union, Washington Trust Bank, Wells Fargo, and U.S. Bank. He holds a BS in business management from Lewis-Clark State College and has received the Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designation from CUES.
Plank expressed his understanding of the complexities involved in loan sales, stating, “Financial institutions use loan sales and participations to manage liquidity, concentration, and growth. I look forward to working with ORSNN to help financial institutions manage their loan portfolio decisions more effectively.”
Strategic Direction and Future Plans
These appointments are expected to bolster ORSNN's platform activity significantly. Thus far, the platform has facilitated a remarkable $3 billion in loan offering volume and successfully completed its SOC 2 Type I examination in the second quarter of 2026. Additionally, ORSNN is nearing the completion of a capital raise geared towards continuous product development, enhancing engineering capabilities, and expanding into new markets.
Founded in 2019 by Sean Banerjee and Rohit Gopal, ORSNN aims to reshape the landscape of institutional fixed-income whole loan markets. The platform empowers institutions to efficiently ingest and evaluate loan-level data, construct pools from extensive portfolios, and execute bulk loan sales through a streamlined digital process. As ORSNN continues to redefine the efficiency of loan transactions, the recent leadership changes are pivotal for its ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in the financial services industry.
