Creema HASHTAG GALLERY Returns at HandMade In Japan Fes' Winter 2026
The renowned “Creema HASHTAG GALLERY” is making a comeback at the HandMade In Japan Fes’ Winter 2026, organized by Creema, Japan’s largest handmade marketplace. As the event approaches next weekend, Creema has unveiled details about the exciting exhibition and various other content focusing on traditional crafts and SDGs-related items.
A Gathering of Creators
The HandMade In Japan Fes (HMJ) is a significant event where creators from all over the country showcase their original works. It serves as one of Japan's largest gatherings for creators, featuring a selection of over 3,000 unique booths. Attendees will experience a creative atmosphere filled with diverse offerings. Besides the marketplace, visitors can engage in around 70 different workshops led by traditional craftsmen and popular creators. There will also be live music from six featured artists and performances by three Yoshimoto comedians, along with a selection of handmade food from 80 curated stores, ensuring a stimulating experience for all senses.
Unique Bag Charms and Workshops
Continuing its popular tradition, the Creema HASHTAG GALLERY will feature an incredible collection of 150 unique bag charms created by various creators. This edition revolves around the theme “Bag Charm Encyclopedia,” showcasing charms categorized by various materials including leather, fabric, resin, natural stones, and flora.
An engaging workshop allows both children and adults to create their own original bag charms by mixing different materials and parts. Additionally, a special photo spot will be available to capture your creative journey, as bag charms are celebrated as fashionable items that reflect individuality and lifestyle. This space will resonate with the limitless creativity and inspiration encapsulated in these small items, offering an unmatched gallery experience where everyone can see, feel, and enjoy their uniqueness.
Highlighting Regional Crafts and Sustainable Innovations
Within the HMJ market area, booths will highlight regional charms from places like Aomori, Nagano, Kochi, and Kumamoto. The “FIND LOCAL” area will present collaborative works birthed from Creema’s initiatives, showcasing projects like the “Osuwadaiko x Creema Upcycle Project” utilizing discarded materials from Osuwadaiko performances and the “Indigo Field Project” from Naraha Town in Fukushima, where artisans and local residents worked together to cultivate and dye using indigo plants. These projects highlight the intersection of regional culture and craftsmanship, further enhancing the event's appeal.
