On December 11, 2024, Shenzhen served as the backdrop for the significant TCL Global Technology Innovation Conference (TIC). With a theme that resonated through its halls — "The Future is Visible by AI" — the event not only celebrated TCL's innovation but also emphasized the growing importance of AI in our daily lives and industries.

The 2024 conference marked a critical transition from its previous format as an internal gathering to an open forum inviting industry scholars, experts, and leaders. This shift reflects TCL's commitment to fostering collaboration and sharing knowledge across the technological spectrum, enabling a broader discourse on future industry developments.
During his keynote address titled "Change for Development, Innovation for the Future," LI Dongsheng, the founder and chairman of TCL, highlighted the pivotal role of technological innovation in sustained corporate growth. He stated, “For enterprises, there are no shortcuts to technological innovation; it can only be achieved through independent research and development, talent cultivation, and long-term investment.”
Landmark Innovations Unveiled
At the conference, TCL made headlines by unveiling 16 groundbreaking technological innovations, including five all-scenario AI applications. One remarkable highlight included an AI-based movie production application developed by TCL’s research team in America. 2024 has seen TCL's implementation of AI applications yield substantial economic benefits, totaling around 76 million USD.
TCL’s advancements in AI were further explored through their "TCL All-Domain All-Scenario AI Application Solution." This suite of solutions was designed to support both enterprise and consumer applications across various sectors, enhancing processes from research and development to manufacturing and customer engagement.
Notably, the TCL Chinese Theatre previewed five short films created using AI from TCL's content generation platform, receiving acclaim from Hollywood insiders. TCL is also gearing up for the premiere of its first 90-minute AI-generated film slated for North American theaters by 2025.
Cutting-Edge Display Technologies
In terms of display innovations, TCL CSOT proudly showcased its advanced technology brand, APEX, focusing on delivering an optimal user experience while promoting reliable vision health and sustainable practices. Their initiative introduced four avant-garde display technologies, including the industry's first mass-produced 4K IJP OLED Professional Display.
Smart Devices Revolution
On the consumer electronics front, TCL Industries outlined ambitious plans to establish four public technology platforms: OS, IoT Cloud, AI, and imaging. These initiatives will bolster growth across their display, home appliance, and new energy sectors. Noteworthy innovations included the Healthy Preservation 2.0 technology for refrigeration and TCL’s Deep Sleep Smart Fresh Air Technology for air conditioning.
Leading in Photovoltaic Technology
TCL Zhonghuan detailed its pioneering plans surrounding new energy photovoltaic materials and battery technologies. The conference witnessed the launch of ultra-thin silicon wafers and TOPCon copper grid modules, championing advancements that promise to significantly enhance efficiency in solar energy production.
Commitment to Manufacturing Excellence
Intelligent manufacturing remains a core focus for TCL Industries, which aims to foster industrial intelligent solutions centered on AI and industrial software. By integrating large model technology, TCL is set to optimize data-driven systems across its business landscape, aiming for significant innovations in operational effectiveness.

In line with its vision for long-term growth, TCL has invested over 8.3 billion yuan in R&D over the past six years, resulting in more than 110,000 patents, including 18,000 PCT patents.
