Unveiling the Forest Echo IPA

YONA YONA Beer Works, the official beer restaurant for the popular YONA YONA Ale, is set to introduce a limited edition craft beer named WORKS Ale#42 Forest Echo IPA. This exciting new offering, which is the 42nd release in the WORKS Ale series, will be available starting August 23, 2025, in the Aoyama location, with a broader rollout to all locations beginning on August 24, 2025.

A Craft Beer to Savor

This unique IPA is crafted in partnership with Yaso Co., Ltd., a company focusing on the utilization of forest resources in Nagano Prefecture. The Forest Echo IPA is specially designed to capture the essence of the Shinshu forests, creating a refreshing and aromatic experience.

The Limited WORKS Ale Series

The WORKS Ale series features limited-edition original beers delivered in various styles, showcasing trends from the U.S. and unique approaches rarely seen in Japan. But this 42nd release is particularly special, being produced in very limited quantities; only one tank’s worth of this exceptional beer will be made available across six YONA YONA Beer Works locations in Tokyo. Additional limited servings may also be available at facilities operated by Yaso.

Sustainability at its Core

A remarkable aspect of the Forest Echo IPA is its commitment to sustainability. The beer incorporates aroma distillate derived from thinned trees and branches that would otherwise face disposal. This practice not only retains the natural fragrance of these materials but also reflects a conscious effort to support resource recycling and environmental care.

The beer showcases a delightful amalgamation of citrusy hops, fresh forest fragrances, and notes of yuzu peel and kumazasa. This results in a crisp, botanical aroma reminiscent of wandering through a lush wooded area. Fermented using lager yeast, it promises a clean and refreshing drinking experience.

With an alcohol content of 6.5%, the Forest Echo IPA balances a slightly higher potency with delightful dryness, making it easy to enjoy while celebrating a perfect harmony of hop and forest aromas.
