Here, the "Katsuyama Yama Salmon Set" will be showcased, combining the rich flavors of local ingredients and the pure waters that nurture them.
This seasonal menu is part of the "Toyota x Michi Selection," a collaboration that connects Japanese regions through their traditional delicacies and local products. As the fourth installment of this project, the Katsuyama Yama Salmon Set embodies the spirit of the Rally Challenge, a motorsport event sponsored by Toyota aimed at promoting local attractions across Japan.
What sets this set apart is the star ingredient, the Katsuyama Yama Salmon, raised in the pristine waters surrounding Hakusan. Known for its rich flavor, firm texture, and delectable fat, this specialty captures the essence of Katsuyama's fresh produce and culinary creativity.
The Katsuyama Yama Salmon Set Features:
- - Katsuyama Yama Salmon and Satoimo (taro) Ohyaki: Inspired by the local variation of the traditional ohyaki, this dish features the succulent salmon placed on a fluffy cake made from locally sourced taro, topped with a special Azumar soy sauce glaze.
- - Katsuyama Yama Salmon Spring Rolls: A delightful combination of steamed taro, fragrant sesame leaves, mozzarella cheese, and salmon, all wrapped in crispy spring roll pastry. Served hot to savor the flavors.
