In an exciting collaboration, LG Electronics has been named the official technology partner of the brand-new Meryl Streep Center for Performing Artists, a stunning 15,000-square-foot facility located in Los Angeles. This innovative center, created by the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, aims to foster creativity and community among performers and artists, and LG’s state-of-the-art displays are set to play a pivotal role.

The Heart of the Center: Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson Screening Room

At the centerpiece of this cultural hub is the Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson Screening Room, which boasts the highly advanced LG Miraclass DVLED Cinema Screen. Courtney B. Vance, President of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, highlighted that this remarkable venue presents fresh opportunities for collaboration while strengthening community ties within the entertainment industry.

The screening room, described as the star attraction of the center, is poised to host over 200 film and television screenings per year. These events will feature Q&A sessions with some of the industry's most celebrated figures, offering invaluable insights for the attending SAG-AFTRA performers. Cyd Wilson, Executive Director of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, referred to this screening room as “the crown jewel” of the facility.

The 200-inch 4K screen showcases stunning visuals, utilizing LG's advanced 24-bit color processing and self-emissive LED pixels. This allows the screen to deliver approximately 68.7 billion colors and deep blacks, enhancing contrast and image accuracy.
