Uranium Energy Corp Welcomes New Leadership in Government Affairs

Uranium Energy Corp (NYSE American: UEC) has taken a significant step to solidify its position in the nuclear sector with the appointment of Bradley Williams as the new Vice President of Government Affairs. This strategic hire is aimed at reinforcing the company's footprint in Washington, D.C., as the energy landscape evolves.

In a statement, Amir Adnani, President and CEO of UEC, expressed enthusiasm about bringing Mr. Williams on board at such a pivotal time for the company. He noted that nuclear energy is increasingly recognized as a crucial component of the government's energy and national security strategies. Adnani emphasized the importance of having a strong presence in Washington, stating, "As we continue to advance our vision of becoming the American national champion at the front end of the nuclear fuel cycle, we recognize that these ambitions require a strong and sustained presence in Washington."

Bradley Williams boasts 18 years of comprehensive experience in nuclear technology and energy policies, having held various pivotal positions in the Department of Energy (DOE), National Laboratories, and Congress. His most recent role was as a senior policy advisor at the Idaho National Laboratory, where he played an integral part in advancing domestic nuclear energy policies and strategies for the Department of Energy, especially regarding nuclear fuel cycles and waste management.

His journey began in 2020 when he was appointed as the American Nuclear Society's Glenn T. Seaborg Congressional Science and Engineering Fellow. This experience involved supporting Senator John Barrasso on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee. Later, as a detailee from Idaho National Laboratory, he oversaw nuclear energy and science policy portfolios with the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. Williams was instrumental in the development of critical nuclear legislation aimed at expanding the nation’s mining, conversion, and enrichment capabilities.

Before his tenure at the Idaho National Laboratory, he served in the DOE's Office of Nuclear Energy for 12 years, culminating in his role as senior advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Nuclear Energy. His initiatives there included efforts to retain existing nuclear power capabilities, formulating strategic plans, and optimizing nuclear energy university programs.

Moving forward, Uranium Energy Corp is positioning itself as the largest and fastest-growing uranium company in the United States, controlling a significant resource base and production capacity across its platforms in Wyoming and South Texas. The company is also extending its reach in Canada, particularly in the Athabasca Basin. UEC is known for its aggressive strategy in uranium market fundamentals, despite the volatile landscape. Williams’ experience brings invaluable expertise and insight, essential for strengthening UEC’s engagement with governmental policymakers and furthering the company's strategic priorities.

As the U.S. looks to secure its energy future, the addition of Williams to the Uranium Energy team underscores the company's commitment to being at the forefront of the nuclear energy sector. According to Adnani, the appointment represents a significant expansion of UEC's advocacy efforts to ensure that America maintains a strong position in nuclear energy capabilities.

In summary, with Bradley Williams's expertise in navigating complex energy policies and advocating for nuclear energy, UEC is poised to expand its influence and contributions to the U.S. energy landscape in the years to come, ensuring that uranium not only plays a crucial role in energy supply but also bolsters national security interests.
