ABC Cooking Studio Partners with Fujieda City
In a pioneering move aimed at enhancing employee well-being, ABC Cooking Studio has announced its collaboration with Fujieda City, a city in Shizuoka Prefecture, to introduce a new corporate welfare service. This initiative is set against the backdrop of the growing importance of health management in workplaces and the need to foster better communication among employees, especially in light of diverse working styles.
Purpose of the New Service
As companies increasingly recognize the significance of promoting health among their employees, ABC Cooking Studio seeks to address this through a unique combination of cooking and communication. With their motto of “making people smile through cooking,” ABC aims to provide employees with opportunities to learn essential nutritional knowledge via on-demand lessons. These lessons will not only elevate employees' awareness of healthy eating but also offer a platform for colleagues to engage with each other, thereby fostering a lively work environment.
Overview of the Welfare Program
The program targets corporations headquartered in Fujieda City that have been recognized as “Fujieda City Well-Being Workplace Certified Businesses.” As of October 2025, there are currently 125 such businesses. The services offered include:
1. On-Demand Lessons on Home Nutrition
Participants will have access to exclusive video lessons focused on practical nutrition. These lessons are designed to tackle common health issues faced by working adults, such as dieting, fatigue recovery, skincare, and cold sensitivity. The program delivers easy-to-understand guidance under the supervision of a Healthy Kitchen, supported by ABC Cooking Studio. The video lessons emphasize practical applications of nutritional knowledge, ensuring participants can implement these lessons into their daily food choices and cooking methods.
2. Participation in Cooking Classes
Employees will also have the opportunity to partake in cooking classes, with each employee allowed up to six sessions during the contract period. These classes, hosted at the ABC BiVi Fujieda Cooking Studio, will help participants expand their culinary repertoire and enjoy the joy of cooking together with colleagues, enhancing interpersonal relationships through shared experiences.
Pricing Structure
The program is available to certified businesses at monthly subscription rates according to the number of employees:
- - Up to 50 employees: ¥15,000
- - 51 to 100 employees: ¥30,000
- - More than 101 employees: ¥50,000 (monthly, before tax, per company)
