Last year, during the remaining summer months, sales of Nabe kits soared to 103% compared to the previous year, showcasing the growing popularity of hot pot meals even in warm weather.

Chanpon is a beloved dish from Nagasaki, featuring a nourishing soup made from pork and chicken bones, combined with a variety of meats, vegetables, and seafood. It’s traditionally prepared in a single wok, making it a convenient and nutritious everyday meal. The philosophy behind Mirokuya, which champions the "democratization of chanpon," is to make this delicious dish accessible to families across Japan, allowing them to enjoy it with their preferred ingredients. This collaboration marks the first time Mirokuya has partnered with a meal kit company, a significant step in their quest to spread the joys of chanpon to homes nationwide.

A Unique Cooking Experience

What sets Ningbo Chanpon apart from other noodle dishes is the practice of boiling the noodles directly in the broth. This technique allows for the flavors of the soup to saturate the noodles, creating a harmonized taste experience. The noodles used in this Nabe Kit are crafted from 100% wheat sourced from Fukuoka Prefecture, ensuring rich flavor and a delightful chewy texture.

The soup, a Mirokuya specialty featuring a base of pork bones enhanced by seafood sweetness, is designed to absorb the flavors of all ingredients cooked together. The kit includes a selection of meats, seafood, and other ingredients that release their essence into the broth, maximizing flavor synergy. The Nabe Kit will be available for purchase from September 18, 2025, at a price of 3,131 yen (tax included) for 2-3 servings.
