Advancion Unveils 2024 Corporate Sustainability Report Highlights
Advancion Corporation has officially released its Corporate Sustainability Report for 2024, marking its fourth consecutive year of comprehensive sustainability disclosures. The report not only underscores the company's dedication to transparency and accountability but also presents measurable impacts of its sustainable initiatives. With the theme 'Driven by Science. Designed for the Future,' Advancion illustrates how sustainability is embedded in its innovation processes, operations, and stakeholder relationships to generate long-term value.
One of the key highlights from the 2024 report is the launch of new sustainable product innovations. Advancion announced several novel multifunctional ingredient platforms, including ELEVANCE™ ELITE Bio65, a 50% bio-based amino alcohol tailored for beauty and personal care, and CORRGUARD™ SA-100, a 72% renewable raw material emulsifier for metalworking fluids. These products, along with the new OPTIMINE™ and ELEVANCE™ ULTRA lines, are designed to offer cutting-edge performance while significantly reducing environmental impact across various consumer and industrial markets.
Advancion also showcased advancements in life sciences through its subsidiary, Expression Systems. The company introduced a scalable baculovirus expression vector system (BEVS) that enhances productivity for advanced therapies, reinforcing the company's role in enabling biotechnological innovation.
For the second consecutive year, Advancion's manufacturing facilities in Sterlington, Louisiana, and Ibbenbüren, Germany, operated without any recordable incidents, showcasing a robust safety culture and the efficacy of Advancion's Management System (AMS). This achievement underscores the company's commitment to safety as a core value.
Environmental stewardship remains a priority for Advancion. The 2024 report highlighted measurable advancements toward its 2030 environmental goals, including reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, waste generation, and water usage, benchmarked against 2020 performance levels.
Additionally, the report indicates that 53% of Advancion's total revenues in 2024 stemmed from products that provide a positive health impact, minimize waste, or enhance environmental performance. This reinforces the company’s mission to intertwine sustainability with market viability.
David Neuberger, President and CEO of Advancion, stated, 'Our 2024 Sustainability Report reflects both our measurable progress and the deeper values that drive our actions. From advancing renewable chemistry to enhancing safety leadership and reducing our environmental footprint, we show that progress and responsibility go hand in hand. Sustainability is no longer optional; it's integral to every decision we make, every innovation we launch, and every relationship we cultivate. We remain focused on delivering long-term value to our customers, employees, and communities while safeguarding our planet's health.'
