Sofiane Pamart's Anticipated Fourth Album 'MOVIE' Features 14 Global Stars

Sofiane Pamart Unveils His Latest Album 'MOVIE'

French pianist and composer Sofiane Pamart has officially released his highly anticipated fourth studio album, 'MOVIE', on April 17, 2026. Known for merging cinematic artistry with musical composition, Pamart has crafted this project as a soundtrack for a fictional film he imagined and directed. The album promises to be a deep, personal journey through the immersive world of piano.

In this unique endeavor, Sofiane not only showcases his skills as a composer but also takes on the role of musical director, inviting a remarkable lineup of 14 collaborators into his creative vision. These guest stars include notable names such as Wyclef Jean, Celeste, Lolein, NBA star Jimmy Butler, Rema, J Balvin, FKJ, Christine and the Queens, Sia, Limón, Lil Reese, Melody Gardot, Oscar and the Wolf, and Nelly Furtado. Each artist explores new textures and colors in their vocals, harmoniously intertwined with Sofiane’s piano melodies.

A Philosophical Approach to Music

Sofiane articulates his artistic philosophy: "I seek voices that capture the traces of life. I'm not moved by technical perfection. It's the unresolved emotions in a voice that stir my heart. While tone and character are vital, what I truly seek is a weighty story supported by sound—something that cannot be carried by the singer's voice alone." This belief underpins every collaboration in 'MOVIE', creating a space where each participating artist can expand and transform within his musical narrative.

The album opens with Wyclef Jean's rhythm and storytelling, followed by pop sensation Lolein, who has twice won the Eurovision, and Jimmy Butler, who makes his musical debut with spoken word inspired by his leadership on the basketball court. Afrobeat star Rema brings a modern, vibrant groove, while global reggaeton icon J Balvin adds urban energy, and multi-talented FKJ weaves in rich, soulful textures. Christine and the Queens elevate the work with theatrical elements, and pop icon Sia delivers dramatic moments with her distinctive vocals. The legendary jazz artist Melody Gardot adds sophistication and elegance to this grand project, rooted deeply in Sofiane's love for cinema.

"When I watch a movie, there’s no emotional distance—I delve into the characters’ hearts and feel what they feel," Sofiane gestures regarding his relationship with film. 'MOVIE' translates this cinematic experience and approach into sound, allowing listeners to journey alongside the protagonists within the music.

Also featured are the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir, known for their cinematic film scores, enriching Sofiane's expansive vision while providing a gateway for a new generation to engage with choral music. Far from being just an album, 'MOVIE' is described as a journey—an emotional cinematic experience where 14 protagonists navigate a vast landscape of piano, voice, and narrative. It invites listeners to experience a new world where music and film converge into a singular, holistic experience.
