Anycubic Unveils Trio of Innovative Products at Formnext 2025 for Desktop Manufacturing

Anycubic Makes Waves at Formnext 2025

Introduction
The landscape of desktop manufacturing is evolving rapidly, and Anycubic is at the forefront of this change. At Formnext 2025 held in Frankfurt, the company introduced three innovative products that promise to redefine the capabilities of desktop fabrication. With a clear focus on performance, stability, and material versatility, these products are designed to meet the needs of both hobbyists and professionals alike.

The All-New Kobra S1 Max

One of the standout products unveiled is the Kobra S1 Max, a large-format CoreXY platform engineered for serious users requiring production-level stability and a wide range of materials. This 3D printer boasts an impressive build volume of 350 x 350 x 350 mm³, supported by a heated chamber capable of reaching temperatures of 65°C, an extruder hotend temperature maxing out at 350°C, and a heated bed at 120°C. Such specifications enable the Kobra S1 Max to accommodate a variety of technical materials including polycarbonate (PC), nylon (PA), and carbon-fiber composites.

A major highlight is the introduction of the ACE 2 Pro, powered by four independent brushless motors, significantly reducing color change time while enhancing stability and noise control. Combined with hardened steel extrusion components and the new LeviQ 3.0 auto-leveling technology, the S1 Max is built for manufacturers focused on creating functional, durable parts on a large scale.

The Versatile Kobra X

Next in line, the Kobra X presents an evolution in Anycubic's multi-color and multi-material printing technology. Building on the single-nozzle multi-color system, the Kobra X features second-generation architecture that optimizes material transitions and minimizes waste. With the enhanced ACE GEN2, the purging distance has been reduced dramatically from 160 mm to just 30 mm, leading to considerable savings in both time and filament.

Standard support includes four-color printing, with expandable options up to 19 colors. Furthermore, the printer supports stable mixing of PLA with TPU or PVA, contributing to its improved extrusions and high-speed motion performance reaching 600 mm/s.

The Photon P1: A New Benchmark in Resin Printing

Rounding out the trio is the Photon P1, a prosumer-grade resin printer that incorporates industrial-grade components into desktop applications. The Photon P1 supports resins with viscosities up to 8000 cps and introduces a dual-platform and dual-vat system for genuine dual-material printing. Additionally, its advanced wave release film and NFEP dual-layer separation system reduce peel forces by 60%.

With a Z-axis repeatability of ±0.01 mm, a smooth steel build plate, and the LightTurbo 4.0 optical system offering 92% light uniformity, the Photon P1 is suitable for both precision prototyping and low-volume production. James Ouyang, Anycubic's Technical Director, emphasized its robustness: "A resin machine designed not just for models, but for functional, repeatable real-world parts ready for small-scale production."

A Vision for the Future

Anycubic's vision for 2025 emphasizes three major trends in the industry: increased automation, stronger material adaptability, and the shift from hobby-grade tools to production-ready desktop systems. By successfully blending factory-level performance with user-friendly technology, Anycubic aims to democratize advanced manufacturing for the global maker and engineering community.

Together, the Kobra S1 Max, Kobra X, and Photon P1 comprise a cohesive ecosystem tailored for creatives, engineers, and small manufacturers seeking reliable, high-performance desktop fabrication solutions. As the lines between hobby and professional-grade tools blur, Anycubic is driving the future of desktop manufacturing with innovation and ambition.
