Adyen Partners with LVMH to Transform Luxury Payment Solutions Worldwide

Adyen Implements Revolutionary Payment Solutions for LVMH

Adyen, a global financial technology platform, is redefining payments in the luxury sector through a strategic partnership with LVMH, the world’s leading luxury goods conglomerate. This collaboration is aimed at enhancing the customer experience across LVMH’s diverse brands, known as Maisons, which range from fashion and leather goods to high-end jewelry and cosmetics.

In September 2025, it was announced that Adyen's solutions are now in place at nearly 50 Maisons globally. This initiative is part of LVMH's broader strategy to unify payment systems, ensuring a coherent and premium customer experience regardless of the shopping channel—be it in-store or online.

The selection of Adyen as a global payment partner back in 2020 signifies LVMH’s commitment to adopting best practices and creating synergies across its diverse brand portfolio. According to Arnaud Bodzon, LVMH’s Group Payments Director, the goal is to amplify effective initiatives while preserving the unique identity and excellence associated with each Maison.

Enhancing Customer Experience

The collaboration has led to notable improvements right from the initial implementation stages. Customers now benefit from a streamlined shopping experience with mobile point-of-sale devices and Tap to Pay technology becoming commonplace. Moreover, Adyen’s solutions have substantially reduced manual data entry, saving valuable time and minimizing errors in payment processing.

Automation features have further simplified daily reconciliation and reporting processes, allowing LVMH’s retail staff to focus on delivering exceptional customer service rather than getting entangled in payment logistics.

A Unified Approach

The unification of payment systems under Adyen’s platform promotes a consistent payment methodology across different regions and shopping avenues. This approach includes a single partner that integrates various methods of payment seamlessly. Currently, LVMH operates over 1,000 stores worldwide—from Europe to Asia and the Americas—making this project both ambitious and extensive.

Ethan Tandowsky, Adyen’s CFO, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “Our collaboration with LVMH reflects a shared vision of crafting simple and significant experiences for high-end retail customers.” The goal is not just to facilitate transactions but also to enhance each point of contact for customers shopping luxury items. Tandowsky has high expectations for what this partnership can achieve in future developments.

The Road Ahead

As the integration of payment systems expands to more Maisons, both LVMH and Adyen are reinforcing a shared ambition: to offer an elegant, efficient, and truly global payment experience. The focus on direct support has been pivotal in ensuring that specific needs are met, showcasing Adyen's flexibility in adapting to the complexities of managing payments for a vast luxury group.

As this partnership moves forward, it aims to continuously elevate the luxury shopping experience, reflecting the quality and craftsmanship associated with LVMH's prestigious range of brands. The future promises a nimble and customer-centric payment environment, aligning perfectly with the luxury sector’s evolving demands.
