A Sensory Feast: Exclusive Hotel Lunch Event with Vegetable Box Goodie at Grand Mercure South Boso

Experience New Year Flavors at Grand Mercure South Boso

Nestled in the beautiful Tai Busa Misaki of the Minamiboso Quasi-National Park, the Grand Mercure South Boso Resort & Spa invites you to indulge in a one-day exclusive lunch event on January 18, 2026. After the success of a similar event held last June, this new offering promises a gourmet experience featuring freshly sourced winter vegetables and local seafood from the Minamiboso area, all crafted into a delightful French full-course meal.

The Gourmet Experience

The lunch event will take place in the hotel’s restaurant, "Le Sensoriel," from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with registrations starting at 11:45 AM. For just 8,000 yen (including tax and service charge), guests will enjoy a meticulously curated menu that showcases the rich flavors of the region. Highlights of the menu include:

  • - Amuse-Bouche: Starting with a plate featuring Anzai Farm’s "Kanbe Lettuce" paired with sweet shrimp.
  • - Hors-d’œuvre: A tantalizing tartar of Chiba-sourced horse mackerel served with cauliflower coulis and a mushroom-rich consomme soup.
  • - Poisson: Poêlé sea bream sourced from Chiba.
  • - Viande: Grilled Wagyu beef risotto with Kaneyama temple miso.
  • - Dessert: Creamy mandarin dessert complemented by yogurt sorbet.
  • - Variations: Fresh bread and coffee will accompany the meal.

In addition, attendees will receive a special vegetable box curated by a professional vegetable sommelier. This box will include one whole "Kanbe Lettuce" and 4 to 5 varieties of seasonal vegetables, along with recipes to replicate the culinary experience at home, allowing guests to extend the joy of their Minamiboso journey well past the lunch event.
