Innovax Biotech's Initiative at IPVS 2026 to Elevate HPV Prevention through Global Collaboration

Innovax Biotech's Participation at IPVS 2026

Xiamen Innovax Biotech Co., Ltd. (IX) recently showcased its commitment to global public health by participating in the 38th Annual Conference of the International Papillomavirus Society (IPVS 2026), held from October 22 to 25 in Athens, Greece. This significant gathering served as a convergence point for experts and partners worldwide to share scientific insights and innovative approaches aimed at advancing the prevention of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and the eradication of cervical cancer.

With the theme "Together Against HPV," IX welcomed international attendees to booth 14, fostering discussions surrounding vaccine innovation, scientific evidence, accessibility, and international collaboration. An engaging interactive panel and message wall invited participants to express their perspectives and commitments towards HPV prevention.

Recognizing the diverse health care needs and public health challenges faced by different nations, IX emphasized the vital importance of listening to global voices, respecting local contexts, and transforming scientific advancements into accessible and sustainable solutions.

Key Research Presentations

During the scientific program, Dr. Nana A. Ansah from the Navrongo Health Research Centre in Ghana presented preliminary findings from the 'Single-dose HPV Immunobridging Study with New Vaccines' (SHINE I; CVIA 104), a multinational, randomized, double-blind Phase III study conducted in Ghana and the Philippines. This groundbreaking research aims to compare the immunogenicity and safety of a single dose of Cecolin 9 against Gardasil 9 among girls aged 9 to 14 and young women aged 15 to 20, respectively. The final data from this study is expected to be available by 2028.

Advancing Innovation through Global Partnership

Innovax’s portfolio includes Cecolin, its WHO-prequalified bivalent HPV vaccine, and Cecolin 9, its newly launched nonavalent vaccine unveiled in China in 2025. Leveraging its patented virus-like particle (VLP) technology derived from E. coli, IX is dedicated to driving vaccine innovation, large-scale manufacturing, and forging international partnerships. Through technology transfer and the development of local capacities, IX aims to enhance the sustainable supply of vaccines and align innovation with local public health needs.

As affirming its commitment, IPVS 2026 highlighted IX's ongoing mission to listen, learn, and collaborate with the global HPV community. Guided by its goal to provide affordable, high-quality vaccines, IX is committed to working alongside worldwide partners to advance HPV prevention and support the common objective of cervical cancer elimination.

In conclusion, IX’s presence at IPVS 2026 reflects its steadfast dedication to addressing crucial health challenges through collaborative efforts and innovative solutions, fundamentally contributing to the fight against HPV and cervical cancer on a global scale.
