Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Welcomes Amit Sripathi as CFO in Strategic Leadership Shift

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Announces New CFO

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Inc. has made a significant leadership transition by appointing Amit Sripathi as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This strategic decision comes after a thorough search process, ensuring that the company positions itself for continued growth and profitability in the lodging industry. Previously serving as the Chief Development Officer for North America, Sripathi brings valuable experience and a deep understanding of operational and financial dynamics crucial to Wyndham's strategic goals.

Geoff Ballotti, the President and CEO of Wyndham, expressed confidence in Sripathi’s ability to lead the finance organization, highlighting his strong background in capital markets and operational leadership. Sripathi's previous tenure at Wyndham allowed him to excel in driving growth and implementing a robust capital allocation strategy, paving the way for 20 consecutive quarters of organic net room growth. He has also overseen key developments including the divestiture of the company’s owned hotels, further establishing Wyndham's focus on an asset-light franchise model.

In his new role, Sripathi is set to focus on enhancing value creation for franchisees, guests, and shareholders through disciplined financial management. He stated his eagerness to partner with Wyndham's leadership team to ensure the company meets its long-term growth objectives and maximizes returns for its investors.

Wyndham has also appointed David Wilner as the Chief Development Officer for North America, a role that underscores the company’s commitment to strengthening its franchise model. Wilner, a seasoned veteran with extensive experience in franchise sales, will lead the company's North American franchise development initiatives, having successfully facilitated the launch of ECHO Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham, one of the fastest-growing extended-stay brands in the sector. His leadership experience at La Quinta and subsequent integration into Wyndham's operations has positioned him to effectively translate the needs of franchise owners into strategic growth initiatives.

These leadership changes come at a time when Wyndham is reinforcing its commitment to maintaining a strong focus on FeePAR (Revenue per Available Room), a critical metric in the hospitality industry. By investing in experienced leaders like Sripathi and Wilner, Wyndham aims to enhance its operational performance and accelerate room growth across its extensive brand portfolio, which includes over 25 recognized hotel brands such as Super 8, Days Inn, and Ramada.

In addition to these executive transitions, Wyndham reaffirmed its financial outlook for the full year of 2026, consistently delivering on its promises to shareholders and franchise partners. The company continues to rank as the world’s largest hotel franchising entity by the number of properties, with over 8,300 hotels across approximately 100 countries. Its strong brand presence in the economy and midscale market segments helps cater to a wide array of travelers, further supporting its growth trajectory.

As Wyndham navigates through evolving market dynamics, the focus remains on creating lasting value for its stakeholders while ensuring a robust operational structure that supports sustainability and growth in the hospitality sector. The appointment of Sripathi and Wilner signifies a strategic move to harness their expertise in pursuing long-term objectives that align with Wyndham's vision of profitability and expansion in the global hospitality market.

This new leadership dynamic is expected to strengthen Wyndham's position and facilitate continued success in meeting the diverse needs of its franchisees and guests, while leveraging opportunities for innovation and market growth.
