FANCL History Museum Celebrates 30 Years of Store Channels with Special Exhibition

The FANCL History Museum in Yokohama, managed by FANCL Corporation, is celebrating an exciting milestone: the 30th anniversary of its store channels. Starting on July 24, a special exhibition will be held to honor this milestone, providing visitors with insight into the journey of store channels from the opening of the very first direct shop — the Shizuoka Aobadai Store in 1995 — to the present day. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience the essence of FANCL's commitment to customer care through valuable artifacts, uniforms, and engaging stories that highlight the company's evolution over three decades.

One of the standout features of this exhibition is the revival of historical store uniforms. The display includes uniforms from various eras, with some recreated based on archival photographs and internal interviews to reflect the original design accurately. This showcases not only the fashion trends of each period but also the innovations in comfort and style that have come to define the brand.

Additionally, visitors will find a section dedicated to tracing the development of the store channels through nostalgic materials. This includes photographs from the opening day of the first direct store, a plethora of past loyalty cards, promotional items, and other memorabilia that evoke treasured memories associated with FANCL. Symbolic items representing the direct stores' growth, their connections with local communities, and memorable customer experiences will also be on display.

Another engaging aspect of the special exhibition is the “Heart of Shared Joy” corner, which features panels dedicated to the warm conversations between customers and staff that have characterized FANCL since the 1990s. This theme is rooted in the company's early staff manuals and emphasizes the enduring connection between the brand and its patrons. Visitors will also find heartfelt messages from the company's founders on the occasion of the 30th anniversary and stories shared by long-time loyal customers, capturing the essence of their experiences with FANCL.

The FANCL History Museum is not just a place for an exhibition; it strives to refresh and enhance its content regularly to offer new discoveries and joyful experiences to every visitor. The museum serves not only as a place for deeper learning about beauty and health but also as a venue for interaction among colleagues, family, and friends.

To visit the FANCL History Museum, reservations can be made via their corporate website under the “Tour Information” section. Each visit lasts approximately 70 minutes, and entry is free of charge. Options for online tours and group visits are also available upon request.
