At the recent CATL Open Day held on September 7, 2025, in Munich, the company showcased its groundbreaking new product, the Shenxing Pro, a state-of-the-art lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. Designed specifically to cater to the burgeoning demands of Europe's electric vehicle (EV) market, the Shenxing Pro emerges as the first LFP battery capable of sustaining high voltage outputs while remaining safe from thermal runaway incidents, which traditionally have presented significant concerns in battery technology.

Addressing the Pressing Needs of Europe's EV Market

Europe has witnessed a swift acceleration in EV adoption, as evidenced by recent data showing its penetration rate climbing from 23% to 26% in just the first half of 2025. With estimates suggesting that this figure might reach 29% by year’s end, the momentum for EV sales continues to build. Shenxing Pro Super Long Life Long Range Battery: This revolutionary LFP battery achieves an outstanding WLTP range of 758 km and boasts an impressive lifespan of up to 12 years or 1,000,000 kilometers. With minimal degradation of only 9% after the first 200,000 km, this model is particularly suited for Europe’s extensive leasing market.

2. Shenxing Pro Super-Fast Charging Battery: Charge up to 478 km of WLTP range in just 10 minutes—equating to a staggering speed of 0.8 km per second. This makes it the leading superfast charging LFP battery in Europe, delivering 830 kW and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in a remarkable 2.5 seconds, even when the battery is at a 20% state of charge (SOC). Moreover, it displays exceptional resilience in extreme temperatures, achieving a 410 km range during 20 minutes of charging at -20°C.

Both battery variants take advantage of CATL's NP 3.0 technology, which has been recognized as the best in safety performance globally. This allows for a sustained high-voltage output for over an hour following a thermal runaway event, ensuring that the vehicle can be maneuvered safely away from danger.
