Takuya Hayama Joins CNS Corporation as BIM Business Strategy Advisor
CNS Corporation, headquartered in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, has announced the appointment of Takuya Hayama as the
BIM Business Strategy Advisor. This strategic decision aims to further enhance the company's Building Information Modeling (BIM) initiatives, which are increasingly critical in the construction industry.
Takuya Hayama brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles, including significant contributions at Kajima Corporation, where he was involved in architectural equipment design. He also led technology sales for the architecture and civil engineering sectors at Autodesk, focusing on promoting BIM and digital transformation (DX) through sales techniques, business development, and organizational management.
CNS Corporation has been a recognized Autodesk-certified training center, offering extensive BIM and CAD education and talent development for the construction industry. While the adoption of BIM is on the rise, the industry faces substantial challenges, including not just skill acquisition but also transitioning to new workflows, ongoing internal training, and nurturing talents capable of implementing BIM in real-world scenarios.
With Takuya Hayama’s appointment, CNS Corporation aims to strengthen its educational support beyond just operational training. The company plans to address various challenges that organizations face in adopting BIM, including customizing workforce development programs and solidifying BIM utilization in day-to-day operations. Hayama will be advising on strategic initiatives, which include organizing value offerings, planning new services, collaborating with client firms, and liaising with external partners.
In the words of Motoyasu Masaki, Chairman of CNS Corporation, they have continually supported the growth of numerous businesses and technicians through BIM and CAD education. With Hayama’s expertise in both construction practices and BIM business, CNS expects to foster an even greater contribution to the development of BIM solutions and human resources in the industry.
Takuya Hayama expressed that while BIM's implementation in the construction industry is progressing, establishing a system that continually nurtures talent capable of applying BIM in practical settings is crucial. He emphasized that simply adopting software does not ensure BIM becomes a staple in organizations. Learning and implementing BIM according to corporate goals and work methodologies are essential for its successful integration.
