Verosoft's Expansion into Enterprise Mining Using Microsoft Dynamics 365

Verosoft's Expansion into Enterprise Energy and Mining

In an impressive strategic move, Verosoft, known for its innovative enterprise asset management (EAM) solutions, recently announced an exciting expansion of its Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central platform into the enterprise energy and mining sectors. This development, made possible through a collaboration with its Microsoft partner PASI, signifies a notable shift in how the software will be utilized in extremely asset-intensive environments.

A Leap into the Enterprise Arena

This initiative began as a modest project involving around 50 users from Semirara Mining and Power Corporation (SMPC) as they set out to develop asset structures and streamline maintenance protocols. However, the project experienced vast scalability and now boasts over 2,000 active users utilizing the TAG Mobi EAM solution alongside Business Central. Such growth illustrates a remarkable achievement, transitioning from mid-market projects to enterprise-level deployment, which was previously deemed a challenge for the Business Central platform.

Rene Santos, the President and CEO of PASI, highlighted the importance of this expansion, stating, _“The foundational capabilities of Business Central allowed us to tap into opportunities we hadn’t previously considered. The integration of TAG Mobi EAM has truly transformed our customer base.”_

The rollout marks a significant victory for Microsoft partners aiming to tailor Business Central as a robust solution for asset-heavy industries, particularly in energy and mining, sectors historically dominated by larger ERP systems.

Addressing Complex Needs

Semirara Mining and Power Corporation operates a vertically integrated model encompassing coal mining and power generation in the Philippines. SMPC requires a robust ERP-EAM platform that could efficiently oversee maintenance operations across multiple, complex environments while adhering to Microsoft’s software ecosystem.

The challenges faced by SMPC were substantial. Outdated legacy systems offered little support for asset hierarchies and necessitated excessive customization. The leadership at SMPC aimed to move away from antiquated paper-based processes and transition into a cloud-centric model that offered standardization across all operations, from mining to power generation. Santos noted, _“It was clear from the beginning that SMPC needed a comprehensive enterprise asset management platform and not just a simple computerized maintenance management system.”_

The Solution Focusing on Enterprise Needs

By utilizing TAG Mobi EAM in conjunction with Business Central, PASI was able to develop a powerful solution catered to both on-site mining operations andsupporting plants. This deployment included modules that facilitated health and safety management, advanced resource allocation, fleet maintenance, and intricate asset hierarchy management, all while integrating seamlessly with the core data and financials managed within Business Central.

The implementation kicked off in December 2025 and was marked by hands-on collaboration between PASI and Verosoft specialists to ensure everything met the specific needs of SMPC. This proactive support enabled quick adjustments and effective transitions to the new system.

Tangible Outcomes and Future Potential

The results have been impressive. The deployment of the TAG Mobi EAM and Business Central has resulted in:
  • - Enhanced preventive maintenance across diverse operational terrains—ranging from electricity generation to marine logistics.
  • - A detailed visibility into lifecycle costs from asset acquisition through to maintenance and decommissioning.
  • - The implementation process transitioned from a pilot phase to a full-scale rollout over a mere five months, complemented by a second wave of deployment completed in just one month thanks to collaborative efforts.
  • - Improved capabilities concerning fleet and vessel management.

Santos commented, _“Our role is to be a trusted advisor. We concentrate on understanding the unique realities faced by our clients and tailor an appropriate solution around Business Central. TAG Mobi EAM aids in delivering comprehensive enterprise asset management while minimizing over-customization to stay in sync with Microsoft’s ecosystem.”_

The growth from roughly 50 to over 2,000 users signifies a turning point for Business Central within the energy and mining sectors, showcasing its capacity to engage larger-scale customers effectively.
