IKEBE SHIBUYA: Five Years of Innovation and Growth
Celebrating Five Years of IKEBE SHIBUYA
Since its launch on March 13, 2021, IKEBE SHIBUYA has consistently been at the forefront of music culture in Shibuya. Marking its 5th anniversary, the flagship store will undergo a transformative renewal, officially reopening on March 20, 2026, with exciting new features aimed at enhancing the shopping experience for music enthusiasts. The upgraded store will feature two remarkable additions: the experiential store "WORLD PEDAL PARK" on the first floor and the first-ever PRS Guitars specialty store in Japan, "THE IKEBE PRS VAULT" on the second floor.
Innovative Experiences at IKEBE SHIBUYA
Acknowledged for its role as a hub for entertainment and music culture, IKEBE SHIBUYA is committed to evolving beyond traditional retail models by introducing spaces that invite hands-on interaction. The first floor will showcase WORLD PEDAL PARK, a unique environment reminiscent of a park where visitors can freely explore a vast collection of guitar effect pedals. Featuring the impressive "Pedal Tower," which displays around 2,000 effect pedals, patrons can test these pedals without incurring the hassle of connecting them to guitars through the innovative "Pedal Box."
This setup allows customers to engage with a comprehensive lineup of music equipment, including mini amps, recording gear, and entry-level guitars—all contained within a single space, encouraging creativity and experimentation in sound.
The second floor will host THE IKEBE PRS VAULT, proudly presenting over 200 guitars from the PRS line. Customers will find everything from the cost-effective SE series to the coveted Private Stock models displayed in a pioneering 3D hanging format designed specifically for this store. With personalized guidance available, expert staff will assist customers in selecting their ideal instrument according to their unique preferences and needs.
Amplifying Guitar Selection
In tandem with these new establishments, the store's layout will be revamped, increasing its inventory by 1.5 times in all areas, especially enhancing selections from Gibson, Epiphone, and Ibanez, making it one of the largest collections of guitars in Tokyo. This new approach will provide customers with the opportunity to compare and play through an extensive array of equipment, supporting their quest for the perfect sound.
Exciting Events Await
The month of March is filled with activities commemorating IKEBE's 5th anniversary, starting from March 3 to March 19, showcasing the exclusive album release of "Fire Inside Us" by the band Nothing's Carved In Stone (NCIS). This event celebrates their collaboration with IKEBE and features actual equipment used by the band on display, alongside a photo exhibition of behind-the-scenes shots that have gained popularity on social media.
Grand Opening of THE IKEBE PRS VAULT
The grand opening event scheduled for March 20 and 21 will feature special activities, including an opening ceremony hosted by Paul Reed Smith, the brand's founder. Participants can engage in a premium raffle, meet and greet sessions, and personalized consultations regarding Private Stock guitars.
Anniversary Promotions
Adjoining these incredible festivities, the store will offer promotional coupons both online and in-store for discounts ranging from ¥1,000 to ¥10,000 for members of the Ikebe Music Club. Exclusive memorabilia such as original sticky notes and branded humidifiers will also be available as gifts when certain purchase thresholds are met. Additionally, a stamp rally will take place across various shop locations, enabling customers to win exciting prizes.
